What is the Framework?

The National Lung Health Framework is Canada’s coordinated response to the complex challenges presented by respiratory disease. The Framework is a collaboration of researchers, health care professionals, as well as health and environment related non-governmental organizations committed to the collective vision of excellent lung health for all.
The Framework stakeholders and partners work together to identify gaps and opportunities in the respiratory health system, and build partnerships to help accelerate the exchange of knowledge and improve respiratory health.
The Framework was developed through the collaborative efforts of more than 500 stakeholders who recognized the urgent need to take action and address the lung health challenges facing Canadians.
