CIHR Opportunities

1. Programmatic Research to Tackle Health and Health Equity

The CIHR Institute of Population and Public Health and its partners announce a strategic initiative entitled "Programmatic Research to Tackle Health and Health Equity".

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support programmatic operating grants in population and public health research. Programmatic research involves connected sequences of conceptually related research projects, executed by the same group of investigators and their decision-making partners. This initiative will support programs of research in the following areas: 1) pathways to health equity, 2) population health interventions, and 3) implementation systems for population health interventions in public health and other sectors.

2. Population Health Intervention Research

The CIHR-Institute of Population and Public Health has recently announced the launch of Population Health Intervention Research to Promote Health and Health Equity RFA on the CIHR website. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support the prompt initiation of intervention research on rapidly unfolding programs, policies and resource distribution approaches that have the potential to impact health and health equity at the population level.

This is an excellent opportunity for the respiratory health community to access funding for intervention research on programs, policies and resource distribution approaches that have the potential to promote respiratory health and health equity at the population level.
